Second Stitch Foundation was created by CEO Taylor Shupe after years of working alongside justice-impacted employees at FutureStitch, a fully-vertical circular manufacturer that believes business should be a force for good.

Through this work, Taylor saw firsthand how the cycle of incarceration extends beyond individuals and continues across families and communities.

Second Stitch Foundation exists to help break that cycle.

We provide practical entrepreneurship training, career development, and mentorship to justice-impacted youth and adults in North County.

Since launching, Second Stitch Foundation has offered 50+ classes and community events, and the participants in our program have maintained a 0% recidivism rate.

Our goal is simple: create pathways to stability, dignity, and long-term independence.
